The finished Honey Bee (Apis mellifera). She's 15 Inches long, and entirely crocheted and crated by me. No pattern was used.

This has to be the best bee I have ever seen crocheted. <3 I love the fuzzy black/yellow legs, that's PERFECT. I love honeybees, so yes, super adorable. Fantastic job. <3

you say "no pattern was used", but did you maybe write down the pattern as you went along? I'd be curious to see how you did it. :)
and kudos to you because of the legs and antennae. I know how hard to crochet such fine structures are...
how did you do the fur? it kinda looks like you didn't use furry yarn.

Hiya ^_^ thanks for the nice comment.

Actually I really didn't use a pattern, I work by shape and add bits of crochet where needed, that does mean I sometimes have to redo parts. Also threadsculpting is a great help.
The fur was done by using a tapestry technique and than painstakingly unraveling every thread.... it's hard work, but it pays off.

Thank you ^_^ Well, I looked up many pictures of bees in many angles and studied them carefully to try and get the shape right. Constantly keep checking proportions and think ahead about how to attach legs and wings.
